Bali is relatively small and the distances are short, but it can take you hours to drive a route of just 15 km. may take a while. You can travel with a driver or rent a motorbike.

The following days contain links to more information about that particular location.

Days 1 – 2: Stay in Seminyak or Canggu after arrival

Arriving at Denpasar airport by plane does not mean you have to stay in Denpasar after the flight. Take a taxi from the airport to Seminyak or Canggu. Canggu is a laid-back and trendy surf town, while Seminyak is centered around beautiful beaches and beach he clubs. Find out which Bali Indonesia visa is right for your visit before you arrive.

Days 3-4: Stay with a Local Family

Bali is known for its luxurious and perfect island living. Live a unique experience while staying with a local family in Bali. Learn a lot about Balinese life, food and culture.

The best thing is that you can make many lifelong friends. We stayed in Gadugan, an hour’s drive from Canggu.

Days 5-6: Stay in Munduk District

Many people make a day trip to Munduk District to visit Lake Tamblingan Temple. Staying in Munduk allows you to see even more beautiful places. This area is a little cooler and you can feel very comfortable. Munduk has waterfalls, coffee, swings, trekking and what not. Gadugan to Munduk is a 2.5 hour drive.

Days 7-10: Ubud & Waterfalls

Organize a tour of Bali Waterfalls route from Munduk and finish the tour in Ubud. Be mesmerized by the beauty of Bali on a day or two trip.

Ubud is a wonderful village in central Bali. Tegalalang Rice Terraces, countless waterfalls, yoga retreats and much more to do in Ubud.

Days 11-13: Gili Air

After a wonderful life in Ubud, head to one of his ever smaller islands. There are no cars or asphalt roads in Gili Air. Take a bike ride, relax on one of the many beaches, go turtle hunting and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.

Days 14-16: Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida

Board a boat from Gili Air and cruise to Nusa Lembongan. It takes about 3.5 hours to drive from Gili to Nusa. The Nusa Islands are not very tropical, but the atmosphere and scenery here are just right.

Nusa Penida can be visited with the Nusa Penida Day Tour. However, if you have the time, we recommend the 3-day Nusa Penida trip.

Days 17-18: Nusa Ceningan

Nusa Ceningan and Lembongan are connected by a yellow suspension bridge just wide enough for a motorbike to cross. Life is good in the Nusa Islands. We recommend spending a night or two in Ceningan. Nusa Ceningan is just a 20-minute drive from the town of Nusa Lembongan.

Days 19-21: Uluwatu or Canggu

The final day of your trip can be spent in Uluwatu or Canggu. Both locations are close to the airport, relaxing and surfing. We love the atmosphere of Canggu and stayed there. Best time to travel to Bali
The best time to travel to Bali is from May to July. However, for surfers, it is recommended to choose another season. May to October is known as the best season for surfing in Bali.

Cost Of Groceries In Bali

Food prices in Bali vary by city and type of meal. Eat local food in a place that isn’t too flashy and pay $1.50 for a full plate of delicious food. If you’re eating at this nice-looking vegan restaurant across the street, you’re probably paying $5 to $8 per meal.

Flights To Bali

During the off-season, flights to Bali are halved. I found a ticket offer on Skyscanner. We paid €700 for a return flight from Amsterdam, which is not the cheapest, but the flight was only 15 hours. With a 1 hour stopover in Singapore.
