Nusa Penida is a gem destination in Bali. Nusa Penida Island is one of the Nusa Islands, the largest of the three islands, but so far underdeveloped. White sandy beaches and silky blue waters, 200-meter high coastal cliffs and pristine nature await you as you travel to Nusa Penida. Usually it is recommended to visit the island by 1 or 3 day Tour.
Highlights of Nusa Penida Tour
A day trip to Nusa Penida allows you to discover both the west and east coasts of Penida Island. West is well known as it is miles away towards the harbor. The East is at least as stunning and less touristy. If you want to see both sides, the 3 day Nusa Penida trip is recommended.
This Nusa Penida travel guide explains each type of excursion to help you choose.
West Coast Nusa Penida Tour
Nusa Penida’s west coast offers spectacular scenery, including Angel’s Billabong and Kerinkin Beach. Combine this with Crystal Bay, Pegyangan Falls and Broken Beach for an afternoon of stunning scenery and breathtaking nature.
Tips: Switch Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong into Tenbeling Natural Pool is also a good choice.
Kelingking Coast
Kelingking Coast is the most beautiful area of Nusa Penida. White sand and land in the shape of a dinosaur head. The views from the top are great, but if you have to hike all the way to the coast, plan accordingly. This hike down is relatively steep for 45 minutes.
Angels Billabong & Broken Beach
Nusa Penida is full of amazingly shaped places. Broken Beach is one of them. A 45-minute drive over bumpy roads from KelingKing brings you to this stunning gateway.
Take a dip at the Herb Infinity Pool, a 150-meter walk from Broken Beach, and enjoy the clearest water you’ve ever swam in.
Crystal Bay Nusa Penida
It is one of the few beaches completely surrounded by palm trees where you can snorkel and relax.
Peguyangan Falls or Snorkeling with Manta Rays
Descend the 150-meter iron blue staircase to a small waterfall to see the most beautiful views and test your fear of heights. There are excellent manta snorkeling and diving spots around Nusa Penida. For that, you would have to stay a little longer.
Tembeling Forest & Beach
For a special treat in Nusa Penida, head to Tembeling’s Natural Pool, Beach and Forest. Change your excursion to West Nusa Penida by opting out of any of the various activities in Nusa Penida.
East Coast Nusa Penida Tour
The east coast is a little more pristine. Visit Thousand Islands Viewpoint, Atuh and Diamond Beach, Rumah Pohon Treehouse and choose between Teletubbies Hill Giri Putri or Underground Temple.
Diamond and Atu Beach
Two picturesque beaches very close to each other. To reach these beaches you have to go down stairs, which is very difficult.
