Day 1 – Coron Island Tour
Spend his first day in Coron, Palawan on a boat and explore the amazing nearby islands. Island hopping tours are one of Coron’s main attractions. Private and shared boat tours are offered throughout the city and can be booked online. Visit Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, Banol Beach and Kayangan Lake on a scenic day trip.
Coron island hopping fees are quite high. Shared boats are PHP 1600 (USD 30) and private boats are PHP 3000 (USD 60). Additionally, there is an entrance fee of PHP 200 to PHP 400 for each location you visit.
Tip: As the Coron Island Hopping Tours are very popular, it is recommended to leave the port as early as possible to avoid crowds.

Start your day with your guide at a local market, picking up fresh fish, vegetables and fruits for lunch prepared by the boat staff and drinking water to stay hydrated throughout the day.
The smell of raw meat is very strong in the morning, so have a hearty breakfast before going to the market.

Twin Lagoon Coron
Twin Lagoon in Coron, Philippines is a large lagoon accessed through a small gap between the cliffs. Snorkel along cliffs and see incredible marine life. You don’t want to be in the water with hundreds of tourists, so ask your captain to avoid them as much as possible.
Banor Beach Coron
With soft white sands, crystal clear waters and a delicious market-bought lunch, it’s the perfect place to soak up the sun. Banor Beach is he one of the most beautiful beaches in Coron Island.

Cabo Beach
Your first stop is Cabo Beach, a small sandy beach with relaxing huts. The entrance fee to the beach is PHP 50 per person. Search Cabo Beach on Google Maps and follow the path along the waterfront. This dusty trail winds through local villages with children eager to interact with you.
Lunch at summer cafe
Enjoy a delicious lunch and WiFi at the summer café. Tucked away down a small side street is his one of the trendiest cafes in town. Yoghurt with fruit is a must and a great escape from Filipino cuisine.
Mount Tapyas – Coron Viewpoint
One of our favorite things to do in Coron was hiking Mount Tapyas. A 750-step staircase leading to a hill with Hollywood-style “CORON” written on it. Start your hike at 4 PM after the heat of the day. When you reach the top, you will have a panoramic view of the entire bay.
Don’t forget to explore the hills on the other side of the bay. Watching the sun go down from here felt like pure magic.
Maquinit Hot Springs, Coron
Relax your muscles by hiking Mount Tapyas in his 40-degree waters at Makinit Hot Springs. Surrounded by mangrove forests, the natural salt water hot spring has a beautiful view of the sea and is the perfect place to watch the sunset. Entrance fee is PHP 200 i.e USD 4 per person.

The island can be reached by boat or direct flight from Manila or El Nido.
Fly from Manila to Coron
It takes about 1.5 hours to fly to Busuanga Airport and 30 minutes drive to the city. High season flights cost about $90 per person
From Manila to Coron by boat
The overnight ferry from Manila takes 11 hours, but operates only on Thursdays and Sundays. From El Nido to Coron by boat
The fast ferry from El Nido takes approx 4.5 hours. The ferry fare is about $30 per person for her.
From El Nido to Coron by Flight
